Never forget.

9/6/2010: Cameron Newton is named SEC Player of the Week for his performance vs Arkansas St, accounting for five touchdowns (three passing, two rushing) and 357 yards of offense.

9/7/1985: Bo Jackson rushes for 290 yards and four touchdowns to lead Auburn over SW-Louisiana, 49-7.

9/8/1990: “Will Otis Mounds please report to the Auburn locker room?” Mounds, sitting in the stands during Auburn’s game vs Cal St-Fullerton, suits up in the second half after injuries to two Auburn tailbacks. Mounds finished with 33 yards on five carries.

9/9/1972: Auburn, picked in the bottom-half of the SEC by most prognosticators after the departure of Pat Sullivan and Terry Beasley, opens the season with a 14-3 win over Mississippi Sate in Jackson.

9/10/1989: Alexander “Ace” Wright sets an Auburn record with four touchdowns s on five receptions for 263 yards. Auburn defeats Pacific 55-0 in its season opener.

9/10/2011: Auburn’s bald eagle Spirit crashes into the window of a Jordan-Hare luxury suite during his pregame flight, recovers to buzz the crowd and make a perfect landing at midfield. One family will never be the same.

9/11/1982: Bo Jackson makes his Auburn debut vs Wake Forest, rushing for 123 yards on 10 carries with two touchdowns.

9/12/2009: Kodi Burns accounts for four touchdowns, Ben Tate and Onterio McCalebb combine for 271 yards and two touchdowns as Auburn defeats MSU, 49-24.
