Oscar Whiskey, the self-appointed Dean of the Auburn College of Exploding Dog Technology, favored Auburn son of the EDSBS Commentariat, and international man of mystery sent us a photo all the way from Taji, Iraq.
Sure, soldiering fans of other schools have staked their own claims, but Auburn’s is the only sign personalized with a team logo. It’s just further confirmation that in the war on terror, Auburn consistently goes the extra mile.
You’re welcome, Freedom.

Glad you guys enjoyed the pic so much just wish I had grabbed a better shot. The first time we drove by the sign I nearly jumped out the vehicle so I could get a better look, it made my day to say the least. Keep up the good work here and War Eagle!
AUsome, bro. We salute you. De oppresso liber
OW- Back in the day, rumor was that a National Guard BDE from Arkansas posted those street signs during OIF-1. All SEC schools had a road if i remember correctly and the now called Taji was Camp Cooke. WDE!
Cobra 3, I haven’t done a whole lot of exploring of this base so if there are other roads named after SEC mascots I haven’t seen them unless they’ve been changed. The DFAC still has “Camp Cooke” written on the side…
When my dad was at Taji in 07-08 there was a street called ‘War Eagle Way’ (along with other SEC mascots). WDE to that!
I really have a tendency to go along with every aspect that ended up being
posted throughout “Tiger Avenue, Iraq | The War Eagle Reader”.
Thanks a lot for pretty much all the advice.I appreciate it-Brigette
