If you look at the fine print of the “34 great stores”, who would have known that you could have gotten decked out in a good pair of shoes, got your tires rotated, picked up your prescription, AND filled out your shopping list at Super Foods???!!!! How funny…I was a student in the 80s and remember the corny “Village Mall, Mall, Mall, Mall, Mall” jingle…see if you can find that one! Thanks for the posting…
Graduated in ’76, and was there to unsuccessfully protest the destruction of the Tollison (?) pines to make way for the Mall, Spring ’72. The developers “agreed” to save some of the old growth trees, and did so until students left for the summer. We returned to asphalt.
I vaguely remember this ad and, truth to tell, Village Mall was kind of a bizarre place back in 78…
