Auburn University Bookstore recently opened a branch in the Ralph Brown Draughon Library, which is totally meta on paper, but makes sense if you think about it: Now you can avoid the dirty look response to your “I forgot my jump drive, can I use one” sob story. And per the library’s announcement, the store will be THE place to purchase “the famous ‘War Damn Library’ T-shirts.”
The new branch is located on the library’s second flood where the CopyCat photocopying center used to be, across from the Caribou Coffee Cafe.
Currently, the store is currently open Monday through Thursday from 7:30 am – 11 pm, Friday from 7:30 am to 2 pm, Saturday from 11 am to TBD, and Sunday from 1 pm to 11 pm.
Oh, and you can apparently tack note cards to a bulletin board by the door with answers to the questions: “What items would you like to see stocked in the AU Bookstore?”
We’re probably just going to post script suggestions for when The Bookstore goes on location its darkest, most disturbing episode yet:
“We want a conversation to be interrupted by thuds, the new guy to look around, and the old guy to go ‘oh, there’s a room in the library reserved exclusively for the laying down of phat beats.’ Then have the new guy to go “More like Dewey DECIBEL System.’ Old guy slaps new guy.”
