As editor of Auburn’s Daily Meta-Memoir, I have to make tough decisions regarding content, especially when it comes to the glut of loosely Auburn related stuff on YouTube. People parkourin’ on the concourse might go viral. A kid in an Auburn shirt acing the Cinnamon Challenge might go anti-viral. I have to yea or nea something new every day. And today I say “yea.” There’s so much Bo in the air right now, and this thing is so art house, I say ‘YESSSSS’ to the video, her first, that OrangeGirl009 posted Sunday, “my english project about Bo Jackson.” Because it’s about Bo, and because (since fake FlipCam interviews with sports greats like Bo Jackson can still suffice for a book report) it takes me back to those magical 9th grade days when you could get extra credit in French by taking a camcorder into Food World and telling the manager “I want to buy some Fudge Rounds, si’l vous plait…”
And of course because it includes dialogue like this:
“And that’s why the pilgrims made it to Plymouth Rock.”
“Thanks, Bo Jackson.”
“Raise the roof.”
Related: Bo Jackson and Bob Hope.
