Joseph Burke, a 20-year-old RallyCross stud and Auburn student majoring in Mechanical Engineering, competed in the 17th X Games in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend. He didn’t win his event, but the point is that he could have.
Burke was named the Rally America 2010 “Rookie of the Year,” and kind of seems born for Rally greatness—his dad, Seamus Burke, is a two-time United States Rally Champion. He just has to stay alive.
Here he is rolling his car on top of a barrier at the Global RallyCross Championship this past March. Fun!
You can check out an ESPN podcast interview with Burke here and an interview with KABC-TV Los Angeles before the Games here.
