Gene Chizik was talking defensive schemes AND fashion schemes at today’s press conference introducing Brian VanGorder as Auburn’s new defensive coordinator.
On Monday, Chizik appeared on ESPN’s pre-game coverage of the BCS title game in what appeared to be a possibly purplish suit and a gold tie. Twitter interpreted the ensemble as a not so subtle “Geaux Tigers.”
When asked to comment on his choice of tie, Chizik simply replied that it went well with his suit.
“I thought it was a good look.”

Yeah, I’m calling bluff. He picked bama to win because he had to — the whole “same state” thing. But we all know… the suit/tie did it for the rest of us. 😉
I think it’s a very good look. And a not-so-subtle hint.
The hate is awesome. Makes the win sweeter. I pulled for Oregon last year, the only prob I would have if I were an Auburn fan would be akin to what I felt when Auburn played Tennessee. I hate both in everything sportswise. Roll Tide. Good luck next year, except when you play us! UA ’95
well this isn’t anywhere near as direct as Nick Saban calling Oregon “We” last year
Ha! What “Miller Time” said!
