Fishizzle’s Fish N Skrimps now open on Opelika Road

A quick Google search reveals that the photo below is not the hilarious work of a marquee generator prankster, but the actual sign for an actually “now open” new eatery on Opelika Road called Fizhizzles Fish N Skrimps that promises to be “Auburn’s funkiest new Restaurant!!”

From ihirehospitalityservices.com:

Fishizzle’s Fish and Skrimps is seeking experienced, enthusiastic, fun loving, reliable and trustworthy employees. Fishizzle’s is a funky (think Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye, and James Brown playing at all times) fish fry that specializes in Catfish and Skrimps on Opelika Rd. If you are interested in applying please drop by 830 Opelika Rd in Auburn. (There is more parking in back!) Mon-Fri from 11am – 3pm. Currently we need Bartenders and Fry Cooks. Experienced preferred. Bartenders need to have basic drink mixing knowledge, a great sincere outgoing personality. Fry Cooks need to be able to cook in fast paced environment and not get frazzled. This is a great opportunity to be a part of Auburn’s funkiest new Restaurant!!

Hittin’ Fishizzle fo’ shizzle, open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.

RIP, Mi Cantina.

This place is being opened by an Auburn High (class of ’89) alum.

Word. I’m so there. I hope the skrimps are half as good as the sign!

I tried this restaurant for lunch. I ordered the catfish plate. My fish was raw in the middle and the cole slaw tasted as if it has gone bad. My husband ordered the whiting and tilapia. They were like bricks and a bit too salty.

Always gonna be some haters…. If you look or something wrong at a restaurant, nine times outta ten you’ll find something…
