Martha’s Trouble takes up woman’s plight

Local coffee shop rockers Martha’s Trouble are headlining the Arts and Hearts benefit event/concert for Pam Worthington, an uninsured Opelika woman recently diagnosed with breast cancer and currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment.

The event – art, beer, music, hors d’oeuvres, door prizes – will be held June 10 from 6-9 p.m. at The Event Center Downtown in Opelika. Tickets are $25 and are available at Magnolia Salon in Auburn and online at marthastrouble.com.

You can listen to singer Jen Slobumb discuss the event in a podcast at Offbeat Auburn.
