The Auburn documentary series we told you about last month will soon be available for pre-order.
The approximately 45-minute long films are a continuation of Flashlight Media Group’s Defining Moments series—Alabama and Ole Miss have already been covered—and will be released as a box set. The films are narrated by Auburn great (and TWER contributor) Thom Gossom.
Flashlight is the company that produced Nick Saban: Gamechanger.
“We started this project with Auburn maybe a year and a half ago and shot our first interview in the spring of 2010,” said Grant Guffin, a Flashlight partner, producer, and director. “Basically, the concept is that there are these plays, these moments that any Auburn fan knows like the back of their hand, that maybe even have their own name.”
And that can be used to tell the story of an entire season.
The title of the film about the 1972 season? Punt, Bama, Punt. The 1982 season is being distilled down to some guy named Bo going Over The Top.
Guffin said Title Run, the documentary on 2010, has a double meaning.
“It’s for Auburn’s national championship, but in addition to a heavy focus on the win at Alabama there’s also a nice segment in there that focuses on Cam Newton’s run against LSU that kind of cemented the Heisman Trophy.”
The company is launching its publicity campaign—which includes a Facebook post from the Blessed Individual himself—on Monday. But Guffin says pre-orders can be placed at www.definingmomentsauburn.com starting (sometime) this weekend.

DVD only, I take it? I would love some Blu-Ray stuff from last season. I had to watch the entire season in Standard Def on AFN, so I’d love some HD action.
This looks cool. I believe Bo going over the top is the single most defining moment in Auburn football history. Things have never been the same since then.
