“You fight it when it don’t look good; you fight it when everybody counts you out; you fight it when there’s no way that anybody thinks you can do it but you; and you just keep fighting it and at some point you’re going to win it.”
Gene has said some very appropriate things at very appropriate times since he came here. That speech was Auburn Football 2010 in summation. Call it heart, call it chemistry, call it determination, call it grit. Call it whatever you want. Whatever “it” is, Auburn has it and Auburn won’t quit.
Michael Val Hietter says
I have been saying this since the Clemson/SC/Arkansas games: These guys do NOT give up or stop giving their all until 00:00 shows on the clock. I have seen a lot of resilient teams, but nothing like this. I hope these young men can keep it going the rest of this year.
More importantly, this attitude will serve them well in the rest of their lives (in or out of football) as well. This is what sports is supposed to be about–WAR EAGLE!!!
