Auburn running the Wild Cat in 1963 (at the 3:47 mark)

A-Day (so it says), 1964. At the 3:47 mark, the offense shifts from the T into a wing set. Man in motion. Tucker “Malzahn” Frederickson (more than likely) takes the direct snap, almost gets the touchdown.

Thanks to stalwart Auburn.nu posters Tiger Jack and Hobbes, who rightly wonder: is there any snap that isn’t direct?

Wow that actually looks pretty effective. Like a run/pass option with a little screen from the motion guy if the corner breaks real hard or something.

I don’t know how much more room Gus has in his playbook, but he needs to fit this in there.

Okay Trigger, over on auburn.nu says that that was the Houston game.

Says that the band went cowboy that day.
