State of Auburn shirts are so pre-season… you know, back when we were contenders, when we didn’t need to draw strength from a stoic, ‘stache-sporting incarnation of die-hard Auburn spirit.
But fashion, like football fortune, is fickle. And in the disorienting fall, ahem, of 2015. Mustache Guy shirts are sure to be a hot item. And hey — they’ll also help out a church!
Auburn senior Lucas “Mustache Guy” Tribble said he recently reached out to the folks understandably wanting to capitalize on his facial hair faithfulness, not to ask them to stop but to make sure any future Mustache Guy merchandise would feature “nothing inappropriate.”
They—”The Deuce“—promised it wouldn’t. And they also promised him a cut of the profits, which Mustache Guy says he’ll donate to Mount Zion United Methodist, the Smith’s Station church where he serves as Youth Ministry Coordinator.
Staring and caring—that’s what Mustache Guy does.
