Here’s how Young Stone Phillips’ 1990 20/20 profile Vincent Bo Jackson at the height of Pax Bomania begins:
Young Stone: Do you ever surprise yourself on the athletic field?
Bo: Nope.
Young Stone: Seriously, you never have?
Bo: Nope.
Young Stone: You don’t amaze yourself a little bit at times?
Bo: Never.
You’d think it’d be all down hill from there. But it stays pretty awesome. (We’d totally forgotten about Bo the philosopher.)

Bo was a terrible dresser back then. What’s with those tights during the interview? I love Bo however. Wish he could have finished his careers in both sports. Greatest athlete ever.
