Porter, a 2009 Auburn graduate and 4-year member of the Tiger Paws dance team, was named Miss Alabama in June and will have a shot at the big crown in January. And you can help her win it. Or at least you can let the webmaster for MissAmerica.org know that you really want her to win it—we’re not sure whether voting our real life Melanie Smooter as your favorite contestant has any bearing on the actual contest, but hey, it can’t hurt.
