What do you think of Auburn’s new Under Armour uniforms, Coach Dye?
“Perfect for wrasslin’ with them angels.”
Thanks, Coach.
Looks like some new-fangled, lightweight breathable jersey… and of course The Cam Newton—sleeves half to the elbow, little gel cushion things at the end—seem to have been officially endorsed. Other than that, might as well be Travis Tidwell standing there.

[sigh] kids today. Oh well, it could be worse.
I thought USA Today said we were getting Orange jerseys? LOL
Not much difference, really. I don’t mind these. At least they’re not some hideous abomination like most of the Nike uniforms tend to be.
Yeah, I’m not saying it’s bad, it’s just different (which is the polite way of saying, “it’s bad”). One thing that is interesting is the stopping point on the stripes. I get that modern sleeves aren’t really sleeves anymore, but this mount of negative space on the side of the stripes makes the 3-stripe-combo into a badge itself. It seriously makes me wonder if Auburn is going to trademark orange & blue stripe combinations.
I’m impressed someone knows who Travis Tidwell was. Kudos.
Needs more Under Armour logos, not nearly enough…
Under Armour’s “innovations” with this set: Tiny nameplates illegible both in both person and on HD television? Check. Tiny numbers that simply look like white squares on everyones stomach and shoulders even from 15 rows up? Check. Reduced sleeve striping to 1.327 square-inch? Check. Reduced over all weight of uniform by another mysterious 20%? Double Check, and hopefully with some more ‘innovation’ we can achieve or goal of a uniform that weighs negative 4 lbs.
