I assume – as does reader Hardin Lovett who who brought it to our attention – that it was the shared partnership with UnderArmour that brought Auburn and Chris McCormack together. And that Competitor.com thought that footage of the professional triathlete and former Ironman World Champion running and being Australian on the Auburn campus (scaling the steps of Jordan-Hare, jogging past the football team on the practice field) was as good for a featurette on “Macca” as they could get anywhere else.
That’s the only explanation I have, anyway.
But whatever the reasons, however it happened — and despite that the focus is obviously on the dude’s training regimen, etc. — the results are great.
