Other than bringing this gentle giant into the, yes, Auburn family, my favorite part of this heartwarming story is that the “Spencer Region switches commit to Auburn” link on the Tuscaloosa News’ homepage still takes to you a pre-written story headlined “Alabama lands lineman commit for 2011 class.”
UPDATE: They finally fixed the link. Good for them. But in case you doubt that Saban has the state’s media eating out his hand to the point where, yes, they don’t just write but actually run stories describing events that would bring him glory before they (don’t) even happen…
Did you see something AUsome? Weird? Today? Whenever? Take a picture of it?

Great for him to change and commit to AU but now the B’ham News will only rate him a three star.
That is the most fun committ for Auburn. UAT does NOT own the state anymore ! The staff at AU has energy, and it is showing. This only proves CTT ran out of energy and desire after the ’04 season. I am thinking that the loss to USF in the ’07 season was the beginning of the end for Tubbs. It was followed by a loss to Miss. State, and his fate was sealed.
CGC and co. are relentless in their efforts to bring the best to AU. I have not seen this kind of constant fiery energy since Pat Dye in 1982.
And here’s the best part of this whole “Bamer NC, Walmart trophy, blah blah, blah” thing – the Bamers were positive a year ago that we were headed back to the 1970’s domination. They can see now that the bubble has burst. They won’t admit it, but just knowing that they realize it is a bit fun.
WDE!
My honest first impression is that this kid is wishy-washy. Hope he sticks around for 12 months to NSD 2011.
Andrew Bone is a bonehead. With egg on his face 🙂
BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHHAAHAH. I hope he fails no matter where he goes. CUT THAT RATS NEST OFF YO HEAD!
Guess Auburn is not much of a family after all
