The Daily Believer is your daily dose of whAUtever, a dose that grows by the second, minute, hour, who knows. Maybe there’s something going on tonight at the Gnu’s Room. Maybe there’s a volleyball game. Maybe there’s some update to The War Eagle Reader you need to know about. Maybe last night’s episode of House referenced Bo. Maybe Pat Dye’s Pants have no reserve on eBay. In other words, we’re live-blogging Auburn – town, gown, idea – and we need your help. Are you putting on an event? A show? Let us know. Know about one? Let us know. Spot Chizik at Byrons? Let us know. Did you see that episode of House? Let us know.

*** Strange days in Athens, Ga. — “We have pig men. Feel the pain in the basement.”
I saw it. My friends saw it. You saw it. Friends of the Program did too. It has to be discussed. Don’t be alarmed … Be very, very frightened. There is a pig man in Athens. And he has good seats.
And Clemson fans, when visiting lovely UGA, watch out for the S&M hijinks of the Chi Phi fraternity at 290 S. Lumpkin Street!
University of Georgia police are investigating a visiting student’s claim that he was held captive and beaten in the basement of an on-campus fraternity early Sunday morning.
The 18-year-old Clemson University student, in town for the Georgia-Auburn football game, ran into the street about 3:20 a.m., yelling for help outside the Chi Phi fraternity, 290 S. Lumpkin St., UGA police said.
The officer who found the student reported he was very drunk, incoherent and crying, but also was cut and bruised, and his clothes were wet and dirty.
…
The Clemson student told police he was involved in a fight earlier at a bar downtown, then was “held against his will in the basement of the Chi Phi fraternity where he was not allowed to leave and was physically assaulted,” according to the police report.
The rest of the story. — [JMC – 11:55 a.m.]
