Magruder scries the guts of his third fried laptop (Old Deller) for the pretty lines and colors.
The charts take a new format in this week’s Spread Sheets; Magruder has, as one commenter suggested, “learned to internet.”
The result?
Auburn, 2010 = Secretariat, 1973.
Maybe we gave up more yards to Ark. State than anyone would have enjoyed, but Magruder says the game wasn’t just a hell of a ride, but the perfect overture to a promising season… thanks in no small part to Ted Roof: “…it certainly remains to be seen how we’ll hold up against MSU. But if this game has served to stoke the kind of chaotic fire that Roof is hoping will rage across the Plains, then those were points and yards well spent.”
Achilles, James Dickey, the Anglo-Saxons – echoes of an ancient wildness. Embrace it. War Damn Eagle.
“Formation diversity, misdirection, play diversity: you can successfully coach two of those to a bunch of preposterone’d college-age dudes.”
John Magruder on Todd’s arm, Auburn’s Pythagorean win incidence, and the legitimacy of Gus Malzahn… complete, of course, with charts.
