Joe Scarborough on Robert Gibbs’ return to ‘Morning Joe’: ‘Auburn wins a game and he comes on’

The last time former White House press secretary Robert Gibbs, an Auburn native, appeared on Morning Joe, Bama fan host Joe Scarborough called him “poor white trash” because he was wearing an Auburn shirt (because that’s just what he does). Co-host Mika Brzezinski joked (?) that Gibbs “looked like a disturbed person that may touch me inappropriately.”

They were a little more civil, a little more professional during Gibbs return to the show on Monday, but the rivalry still reigns when it’s banter time, because as Scarborough admitted last month, he’ll “never get over (the 2013 Iron Bowl).”
