Colorized photo of Punt, Bama, Punt hero David Langner at the 1972 Iron Bowl

On Saturday, after learning that David Langner had died, we posted some never-before-seen photos of Auburn legend shot during the 1972 Iron Bowl.

TWER reader Scott Hughes colorized one of them. And he did it really well.

He also did his thing with the awesome photo of Langner floating riding a magic carpet after intercepting a pass against LSU earlier that season. Snapped by Herb Cawthore, it won AP Sports Photo of the Year.

That’s what Langner did. He jumped. And sometimes he crane kicked dudes in the face. And got ejected.
