We’re trying to plow through the backlog of clips of talking heads exploding over the Iron Bowl. Here’s one we forgot: Monday’s episode of Morning Joe, which of course had Auburn native Robert Gibbs, who on like they do pretty much every time there’s an opportunity for some Iron Bowl trash talk between the former press secretary for Barack Obama and co-host Joe Scarborough, who loves Alabama football like Satan loves sin.
Gibbs, who was at the game with his 10-year-old son, wore an Auburn shirt as always.
Scarborough’s first comment: “So this is what happens when poor white trash wins the lottery.”
His co-host, Mika Brzezinski, was just as professional: “Oh my God, that is the ugliest shirt ever… you look like a disturbed person that may touch me inappropriately.”

Only Auburn could make Robert Gibbs a sympathetic character. Love it.
Section 28, row 13? That’s as far towards midfield as you can get in the student section.
Mika WISHES she could get touched inappropriately by an Auburn Man!
It had to be one of the lowest of low class exchanges of “professionals” that I saw this week …but unfortunately, not that unexpected or unusual. You get used to that kind of exchange after watching 30+ years of Iron Bowls.
Roberts Gibbs is a great guy. Obviously, Mika and Joe are utter idiots. That “touch me inappropriately” comment — she actually thought THAT was appropriate? Or humorous?
That shirt would look even better if it wasn’t on Gibbs. If he loves Auburn so much, why did he go to NC St? Guess he couldn’t get in.
