Cam Newton says first weeks back at Auburn were ‘a circus,’ taking it all in stride

Nothin’ but love, man.

Cam Newton is finally talking about his second go at college life — the reason he went back to school and what it’s been like so far.

“It’s smoothed out now. When I first got on campus, it was kind of a circus. But that’s kind of what I expected,” Newton told the Charlotte Observer. “But it’s nothing but love, man. You go back and you see people’s reaction. You take a couple of pictures and you see what it does to a particular person, and you appreciate it your influence.”

During his first few days back on campus, Newton’s every step was trackable via Twitter.  Athletic Department officials initially considered considered providing special accommodations for Cam Newton Normal College Student, but ultimately decided against them.

The Blessed Individual, like Bo before him, says his motivation for completing his degree–he’s majoring in sociology– is to make good on promise he made to his mother when he left Auburn two years ago.
