We started The War Eagle Reader with very strict criteria for posting old videos of adorable 4-and-half-year-olds at recitals: They would have to be of local children who later attended Auburn University for at least something close to a year, they would have to have worked at Niffer’s, they would have to have been crowned Miss America, and they would have to be singing a Billy Ray Cyrus song.
So yeah, finding and watching this video labeled “Mallory (Miss New York 2012) when she was 4 1/2 yrs old. xoxo” was like watching a mailman driving up in the rain and handing us a 70-year-old letter from Doc Brown or something. Because unless we’re mistaken or the person who uploaded it is lying, that appears to be former Auburn student / Niffer’s employee and newly crowned Miss America Mallory Hagan singing “Achy-Breaky Heart” in what we have no reason to doubt is her hometown of Opelika or somewhere thereabouts.
Congrats again, Mallory, and War Eagle.

That’s definitely her. It’s the same video they showed right before she tap-danced the faces off of everyone there.
