Of course I was planning to use this to cross-pollinate yesterday’s gallery of Auburn’s Playboy All-Americans. Never underestimate what’s going on at TWER.

But also, never underestimate what was going on with the Loveliest of the Plains. “Hey there, 5’5” sophomore Brenda Johnson, we want YOU to be our Loveliest of the Plains next week! You’re welcome, you’re welcome!  So just put this Playboy Bunny costume on… well, the issue is coming out close to Easter, after all… PERFECT…

That’s the way it was in Auburn on April 4, 1969.The biggest picture on the front page of the student paper. As it should have been.
