There’s no such thing as an “Easy A” at Auburn, at least according to a study cited by CBSNews.com.Stuart Rojstaczer, the former Duke professor behind GradeInflation.com, recently — or, wait, not so recently (thanks, Carla) — compiled a list of 16 colleges and universities where it’s “significantly harder to get A’s than the typical campus.”
The list is organized by region: East, Midwest / South, West.
Auburn tops the South / Midwest group (at least alphabetically) and is the only SEC school included. But due to Tuscaloosa’s freakishly low “brainpower index” score, we think the University of Alabama may gave been excluded from consideration.

I actually earned a few “A”s at Auburn…and it wasn’t easy…
I don’t why this article is just starting to go viral because it was posted on Sept. 2010.
Hummmmm … no wonder I got all Ds 🙂
My in-major classes weren’t easy, but there are GPA boosters out there. I took two PE’s (basketball and golf), and they even let me take College Algebra my senior year as a credit filler…when I was a few hours away from a degree in Electrical Engineering (i only needed 11 hours to graduate, needed 12 to keep my insurance).
I was one of the few people that didn’t take Organic Gardening.
@ Jonesy – You missed out on Organic Gardening. It was great! I took it as a joke. Had 17 hours that semester because of it, but it was great fun. I learned about “Oith Wooierms” and other cool stuff! LOL
Maybe it’s harder for us to get As because we are dumber. Or stupider.
