We typically shy away from exulting in our enemy’s ridiculousness, at least in separate posts, but every now and then there is a clip or photo or quote or repeated inexplicable spelling error that demands it. (And hey, it is Iron Bow bye-week).
No, that was not an ‘attaboy’. That was Nick Saban ordering, and then executing a posterior “Code Crimson” on Bama’s backup quarterback, A.J. McCarron, after an ill-advised throw in the Tide’s 30-10 win over Mississippi State.
Dude needs to calm down some, heh. He’s a great coach, no doubt. But spanking an 18-19 year old kid?
This was met with uproarious laughter by the entire room Saturday night. Grade-A hilarity.
I wish y’all had posted this about 15 minutes earlier. I can’t watch videos on these horrible government computer networks, and I JUST missed this before I left my room, apparently. Can’t wait to get back so that I can see it.
As great as it is to be an Auburn Tiger, it is equally as great not to be a Bama fan.
Trying not to overreact here and consider how I’d feel if that was Chizik but…
That’s just about borderline insane and suspendable. Not much different than when Bobby Knight kicked an Indiana player (I think it was Pat, his son). Much uproar over that one.
Dude is losing it, just a little. If AJ were my son, I’d be pissed.
Where’s the media uproar?

At 0:24, McCarron gives the “Legal-Adult-That-Just-Got-Spanked” Face.
That looked painful…hopefully Saban will be giving out spankings left and right during the Auburn game.
Love the title.
Hate the coach.
OMG…I wonder what he does to the players when there’s no camera!!
Maybe he did go a bit overboard, but I would take that any day over a thug towel waving coach that chests bumps with his players.
