What Daddy wants, Daddy gets

The now-concluded “Old Spice Guy” viral marketing campaign was / is apparently popular enough to have sparked actual debate on the impact of the Obama presidency and the future of some place called “Black America.”

But if we’re talking controversial sexual overtones (and, for some reason, I guess we are), for my money – and I’m sure the money of the old guys in the Wisconsin retirement community who Esquire polled to gauge the video’s effectiveness – nothing tops this Old Spice ad in I pulled from a 1970s issue of Time Magazine found many years ago in Opelika’s legendary Yard Sale Store. It stings our faces just looking at it.
