Or at least a spot to stop by and shake hands. Jerry, I wanted to chime in at least a time or two on the Liveblog, but unfortunately I spent Wednesday in the hospital. My oldest boy had some issues with everyone's favorite vestigial organ. One surgery and several piles of cash later he's on the mend and back home torturing his sister. But I followed when I could on my blackberry and read most of the thing after the fact. You all did a great job. I hope it becomes an annual tradition. A Day: April 17

Off the top of my head, the teams that have been ranked the highest in recruiting since 2002 are USC, UF, LSU, Texas and they all have titles. Successful teams like AU(until 2008), UGA, OU, Ohio State were always in/near the top 10(sometimes top 5) pretty much every season. Bama's excellent recruiting the past few years gave them a NC in 09. Sometimes guys will come out of nowhere like SenDerrick Marks(2 stars) or Clay Matthews Jr(Walked on at USC). But usually it's the 4-5star players that have the best chance of impacting the team the most. This coaching staff will coach these players well and get the most out of them.
