He hits the defender like a Tunde of Bricks......Reminds me of a steamroller!
I sure would not want to line up across from him.

A great job all around by the coaching staff!

How often does one find a utility player that can play either RB or DT...I love seeing fat guys tote the rock...Im sure they will at least look at him as a short yardage back, it would be crazy not to do so...I'd make Phillips the scout team RB if I was in charge, having him could help to improve our run D...Ryan Smith looks like a good prospect...Would not be suprised to see him get a shot at RB also...We have a viod on the scout team at RB, so someone is going to fill the spot...He is also willing to play S, which is good...Plus he is a true AU man...Tunde's film looks pretty good...Ive got no complaints, we swung at some big names and missed...But the coaches had excellent back up plan

Phillips = Fridge

Coach Chizik pronounced Tunde's name like this toon-day// fair-uh-yock-ee
I'll go with that for now. I never saw anyone he blocked make a play on the ball until after 30 yds downfield, and that was once out of all those plays.
Love the music in both of the vids.

Joe: I can't wait to see the kid play, but no matter how much he slims down don't think there's any way--on this team--he's ever going to be more than a goalline/short yardage back. So I'd beef him up and make him a DT, but with a few packages for him on offense. There should be some happy medium where he's big enough to hold his own on D but still agile enough to plow forward for 2 yards on 3rd-and-1, I'm guessing/hoping.

But of course the coaches do and will know much better than I do, so we'll just have to see what they do with him. Should be fun--J-Hare's going to go crazy if it's goal-to-go at the 1 and he comes off the bench.

Don't tell ya Daddy...At the least Phillips would make a good fullback, if Malzahn left and AU became a power run team again. The guy is very explosive and has great balance and speed for 270lbs. Either the competition is very weak or he was vastly undervalued.I saw some of the teams he played against and I noticed that not too many of the highlights were against UMS Wright ,which is usually a pretty solid team in the Mobile area. Pretty good DLineman as well from the vid.

If Ryan Smith would have gone to UK he would have been one of those undersized annoying playmaking backs, wideouts, or DB's that were lightly recruited but killed you on gameday like Trevard Lindley, Derrick Locke or even worse Randall Cobb. Good get for AU. Shouldn't let guys like that leave the state if they don't want to.

Fairylike(if he bcomes great or well known this is what Bammers will call him) is kind of a project. At least he is very smart and will contribute positively to society upon leaving AU.

OL Tunde Fariyike. In the absence of knowing Nigerian well enough to pronounce his name correctly, I'll go with Mr. Pancake after watching that video.
