If you’ve ever wanted to indulge your football fantasies beyond the handicapping morality of the Auburn Creed - as a child, I convinced myself that the lyrics to “Crimson and Clover” were literally describing the gratuitously bloody scene of an Auburn Iron Bowl victory so I could enjoy the song without guilt – please to enjoy this ambiguously-uniformed montage of the unclean sports possible inside Blitz: The League II, an insane Madden-meets-Mortal Kombat X-Box game (you have to be 18 to even enter the web site), which, apparently, exists.
It’s almost as intense as that apocalyptic 2006 pre-game video with the Tiger marching through a Toomer’s Corner engulfed in flames… and really kind of screwed up. I’ve got this overwhelming urge to sing “Hard Fighting Soldier.”

I’m pretty sure you are referring to the 2003 pregame video and not 2006. I would love to see a video of that one I remember it being super awesome!
You’ve never heard of Blitz the League? It’s good stuff. Wasn’t exactly the modern update of good ole’ NFL Blitz 2000 that I was wanting, but it’s all good fun.
(And I’d like to see that pregame video, too, because I’m having a tough time remembering it right now.)
No — I’m not too up on new games.
There might have been another video like that in 2003 but I’m pretty sure the one I’m remembering was in the 2005-2007 range, maybe ’04 though — and the apocalypse shots were super quick.
