This was a very exciting game. I really enjoyed it. I totally disagree with SW-al about the bowls. I’m for a playoff, but I enjoy these games that match up teams that would normally never play each other and are rarely on TV.

I went to that bowl a couple of times myself when I lived in Albuquerque. It IS like a high school game–I think the good people of NM don’t care that much about NCAAF. In contrast, going to the Isotope’s games are much more fun. GREEN CHILE!

And so, unintentionally I’m sure, Jerry makes a most eloquent argument for a playoff system. Get rid of the nonsense bowls (including the ones in our beloved homestate towns of B’ham and Mobile), institute a playoff and give everyone two damn weeks of practice after the season so they’ll quit whining. You can’t convince me that the Papa John’s, New Mexico and New Orleans bowls, et. al. are important to the whole of college football.
