A-str, they certainly deserve their props. Keeping that group of guys off of Todd as often as they did was huge, and of course Tate’s fat YPC average belongs to them as well. Should have made mention of them somewhere, I guess, though the theme of the post was players who have been down and are now up–and the o-line’s been rock solid all season.

No props for the O-line? I thought they did a great job at least through the 3rd quarter. I mean how many times did the mrs blitz us and Todd still had plenty of time? I think you have to give them a little credit for Todd’s “renaissance”. Also I think most of our 3rd and 4th and short problems are again the ridiculous stubborness of not getting under center and running a sneak or a dive play. It is not the same running out of the shotgun unless you have Tim Tebow…

Not sure if I’d consider the game in Athens a “likely” win, but it’s definitely winnable. Here’s how I see our remaining three games (We only have three more games? Sad):

Furman = sure win
Alabama = almost sure loss
Georgia = toss up, but slight edge to Dawgs for home field advantage

This Auburn team has been so fragile: physically, mentally, and emotionally. While last year tore the heart and soul out of the Auburn family, these young men suffered tenfold. In comes Gene Chizik, who must have a psychology PhD somewhere in his past, and prescribed the Prozac of five straight wins to open the season and a national ranking. Fayetteville dropped our Tigers back into the depths of last year’s depression for three weeks before the coaching staff’s TLC helped them climb back up the mountain. I think this team is much stronger now, ready to face the next four games (counting the bowl) and finally put 2008 behind them. And as for Chizik, he can put his own 2008 in the rearview mirror as well.

Pretty proud of our guys. They could have “folded like a taco” for the rest of the season and no one would have been terribly surprised. And I hope that guy that I “War Eagled” at the Home Depot yesterday morning (because you were were wearing the Auburn hat) is happy. You wasted about 10 mins of my time time telling me a POS coach we have and how you were going to be a Ga Tech fan for the rest of the season. Weak, dude. I wish I could confiscate your AU hat.

Now, we need to put the Dawgs out of their misery.
