Crappy plot and absurd story line (Cave dwelling stone age culture mounted on horses in a land of fiords and steep mountains ,….. really?), but my Viking heritage (Finnish, second generation) was nevertheless won over by the characterizations of the warriors and their creed:

Since we have a week to mull things over- -I totally agree with you all. The Kentucky loss at home which we certainly should have won, and maybe/probably the UGA game are 2 that will sting. Getting blindsided at 11AM on the road to Arkansas was disappointing but not long lasting, and any trip to Death Valley at night is a crap shoot at best.

Now- -for UAT. I’m not prepared to give up hope. I think Ben Tate comes out with his best performance to date- goes out on top. Remember, we beat UAT in T town one time with Tre Smith as our No. 1 RB. (please don’t ruin my point with actual facts or logic- -just move on). So, anything can happen in this game. Anything is possible.

Thanks for reminding me of the GSU/Furman game this past weekend. The state of GSU football right now is at the lowest I’ve ever experienced it, and that game was seriously depressing on so many levels.

I wish I could come up with a way to convince myself that AU has a chance against Alabama.

Alas. Can’t do it.

I agree that the Kentucky loss is the one whose sting has staying power. A year from now, no big deal that AU lost to Georgia, for instance, no matter how crushed I was about it Saturday night. Same with, say, LSU.

But a year from now it’s still going to bother me, that thing with the Wildcats.
