Seven wins to their five (four to two, if we toss the cupcakes), including the head-to-head in their house, and none on their slate of significantly greater quality than ours, isn't enough to put us over Tennessee? Understandable during our collapse but now that we've played to our earlier standards two weeks in a row I don't think it would constitute a crime of homerism to put Auburn at #4. I don't think there's a Coulter/Kos award on the SEC poll, is there?

Damn 3-4, gettin' positions all screwy.

OK, so he's not a tackle, but it still doesn't seem right to list him as a DE when his job in the 3-4 is closer to a DT's job than a 4-3 end's, does it?

Dareus is a beast, no doubt there, but he's not really a defensive tackle either. He's a 3-4 end that just moves inside when we go to the rabbit package in obvious passing situations because we haven't came across a guard to date that can deal with his athleticism. So, by doing so, we force opposing offensive lines to either leave a back into protect, or have to put someone single blocking either Dareus or one of the linebackers playing end in that set.

Again, though, not really a true defensive tackle.
