The Bates INT was pretty awesome, but from where I was sitting, it looked like Walt McFadden was a little bit peeved Bates stole an INT from him, and maybe with good cause: while Bates snagged the pick and fell right on the 2, McFadden maybe could have caught it on the run and got the ball out from the shadow of our goalposts. Of course, you never can complain about a pick, and if it hadn’t happened like that, we may not have been treated to the 93-yarder to Zack Terrell – err, Terrell Zachery.

“McCalebb expertly picks up a blitzer,…” Describes not only an excellent athelete hitting someone about 100 lbs heavier (OMac is, after all, about 170 lbs soaking wet), but a well coached team player. Reminded me of Cadillac’s pancake of All-Everything David Pollack during a Jason Campbell rollout pass to Ronnie Brown in the 2004 UGA game. Both were the keys to the success of their respective plays.

If nothing else impresses you as you watch this team, it is this: They are all on-board and will succeed or fail together, as a team with espirit de corps and dedication.

Win or lose, there’s not much more than you can ask from either the coaching staff or these fine young men.

War Damn Eagle! I’m glad this is my team.
