One of my old roommates was an all-state tight end in high school, and you can always count on him to gripe about the TE not getting the ball enough.

He lives well out-of-state (although not as far away as Jerry), and only makes it to a game or two a year these days. Last year it was the LSU game; at the half, just after Gabe’s pick-6, Deav stopped at my seat and snarled, “Finally, we figured out how to get a pass to the tight end!”

CNNSI mentions Gustav the Mad Scientist of Football as a… “Mad Scientist!” HAHA! My goal of getting everyone to refer to him as Gustav the Mad Scientist of Football (or at least as Gustav or Dr. Gustav) is working!

Seriously though, I’m getting a kick out of that. Mark at TheAuburner has been humoring me with it, and I see you’ve done it a few times here, Jerry. I think it’d be funny as hell if that seriously started getting to the mainstream sports media.

what’s up with the Georgia guy saying, “I hate Auburn”. I have always loved the auburn/georgia rivalry precisely because it isn’t like auburn/alabama. It has always seemed like fun instead of life and death. I had no idea georgia poeple hated auburn. Is this common? Am I the only one?
