Jeremy here, coming off the bench in a bind to say, well, that’s that.
Montez Billings has left the team, citing, per the two-minutes-ago tweet from Goldberg, the best of all reasons: “personal reasons.”
From Chizik’s statement:
Montez has his degree and has decided to leave the Auburn football team to pursue other opportunities. We appreciate what he gave to the football program during his career.
It’s a distracting shame that the exciting conclusion to BillingsGate had to go down on the eve of the “Is-Auburn-Real-Or-Not” bowl, arguably one Auburn’s most important games of the year, and certainly its biggest thus far. But thems the breaks. And when Jerry-3PO returns from his oil bath in Flagstaff later tonight, and gets reconnected to the WBE hyperdrive, he will surely interpret them for you.
Goodnight and good luck. And War Eagle.

Jeremy,
I love your blog..didn’t realize until your merger with JCCW that it was you running the Reader. How’s your mom?
